I don't know why I find people getting scared so damn funny.
Not the "I am teetering on the brink of the eternal void called marriage" kind of scared. I'm talking about the "My idiot friend just jumped from behind a corner and yelled 'Boo!'" kind of scared. The girlish scream of terror. The eyes briefly bulging out of their sockets. The flailing arms. The expanded nostrils. The cardiac arrest followed by immediate death. It just doesn't get any funnier than that.
I've pretty much stopped scaring the crap out of my family and friends; although every once in a while when my girlfriend's taking too long to get ready, I'll wait outside the bathroom door. I don't even have to say "Boo." She's too easy though, which kind of takes the fun out of it. Plus she screams fricking loudly, which probably makes the neighbors shake their heads and wonder why Korean men love beating their women.
Anyway there's a show on the Sci-Fi Channel called Scare Tactics that creates elaborate set-ups to scare the shit out of unsuspecting victims. Here are four of the funnier clips:
- Guy thinks he's about to get murdered by hair stylist. Cries.
- Girls in RV get attacked by overweight Chewbacca. Scream way too loud.
- Guy who keeps saying "Bro" doesn't realize he's in a re-enactment of the opening scene of "28 Days."
- Guy has obviously never heard of this urban myth before.
