Did some research and I'm about 99% sure my vertigo was Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). Grabbed some pho with a doctor buddy, and he tentatively agreed after I described my symptoms. This is actually a relief, because when my coworker heard that my vertigo came back earlier this week she walked up to me with this really concerned look on her face.
"You should see your doctor and definitely get an MRI," she said.
"Really? An MRI? It's really not that big a deal. Didn't even vomit," I replied.
"I had recurring vertigo too," she said. "Doctor said it wasn't a big deal either. Probably a sinus infection. Then it got really bad. And after several months I finally got an MRI. Turned out to be a brain tumor."
For a minute after that chat, I sat in my office and wondered what I'd do if it turned out to be a brain tumor. I came up with just two options. And then the minute was over.
