The trailer for "300" is probably the best I've seen seen since the trailer for "The Matrix Reloaded." Which is not a good sign for the movie. Unfortunately, 90% of the time, the trailer ends up being better than the film it's advertising, such as "The Matrix Reloaded." And about 99% of the time, the book's better than its onscreen adaptation with "Lord of the Rings" being that one percent. The same failure rate goes for movies based on TV shows and - most likely in the case of "Transformers" - action figures. "300" is based on a graphic novel, which falls under the comic book category. Movies based on comics have had a better success rate, so we'll see how that goes. If you really want to play it safe, I'd watch the "300" trailer, read the graphic novel and skip the flick.
