Sydney. Day Shots.

As mentioned in the previous entry, I'm going to keep posting the Sydney trip pics in segments. If you're going to show photos of the city, I suppose you have to start with the world-famous Sydney Opera House. The funny thing about it being the symbol of the city is that Australians don't strike me as being an opera-loving people. Wasn't the country first colonized by serial killers and shoplifters? I just can't picture Aussies getting dressed up in mink stoles, top hats and monocles, and spending the evening watching La Boheme. I think a more appropriate symbol for Sydney should've been the Russell Crowe Ear-Biting Bar Brawl House.

Australians are a very resourceful people as evidenced by the fact that they don't waste any part of the kangaroo - especially the balls. They're used as bottle openers, key rings, coin purses, scientific measuring devices, etc.

Look at Paul. LOOK at him!

We spent a day in the Hunter Valley, which is one of Australia's wine regions. Here I am at a wine tasting at Scarborough, which a sommelier had recommended we visit. I'm not much of a wine drinker any more, but I did like their pinot noir, chardonnay, and whatever was in the rest of the cups.

All that free wine did eventually take its toll on us.

Here I am doing an Australian impression of a New Zealander.
